ere at Americare Staffing, Personal care means providing care that is related to the patient’s body, appearance, hygiene, and movement. Additionally, we understand that people may require personal care for a number of reasons. Assistance with personal care may be temporary while a person is recovering from an injury or illness or may be permanent, and is required for the remainder of their lives.
Some of the tasks related to personal care may include; bathing, teeth/mouth care, dressing/grooming, toileting, eating, ambulation, transferring, care of the patient’s environment, and assisting with self-administration of medication.
Providing personal care is our number one priority for the home health aide/personal care aide. Although we offer a multitude of care services, Caring for and managing the needs of our clients is the most important task that we do. Personal care provision demonstrates the patient concern about their physical health and general well-being.
The types of clients who may need personal care include; patients who are recovering from an illness or accident, patients with a long-term chronic condition (e.g. heart failure, diabetes, HIV/AIDS), frail patients, or those of advanced age, patients who are permanently disabled, the dying patient, and infants whose caretakers need assistance caring for them to name a few.

There are many factors to consider when providing personal care. Patient transfer, infection control, and medication administration are among some of the physical care needs that our clients need. Our home health aide/personal care aides are trained with the most up-to-date practices and engineering controls to accommodate client challenges. Additionally, Americare Staffing provides care that embodies the principles of dignity and respect recognizing that everyone is deserving of such treatment without question.
